Sam Crabtree (MEd, South Dakota State) is a pastor at the Mounds View campus of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a former public school teacher and has served at Bethlehem Baptist Church since 1997. He serves as the board chairman for Bethlehem College & Seminary and a board officer for desiringGod. Sam and his wife, Vicki, live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and have two daughters and six grandchildren.
John Piper (DTheol, University of Munich) is the founder and teacher of desiringGod and the chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary. He served for 33 years as the senior pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is the author of more than 50 books, including Desiring God, Don’t Waste Your Life, This Momentary Marriage, Bloodlines, and Does God Desire All to Be Saved?

I am reading this book as part of a bible study. He died in 1980. My kids, ages 4-6, like to do each pose in this book in sequence. The life, historical and cultural context of his teachings are succinctly presented and charmingly illustrated in the style of Indian miniature paintings in this Groundwood Press 2011 release.
